I bought this because it's an Escali, the style (including color), the features, and the size. I borrowed a set of certified weights from a lab, from 1 gram to 5 Kg and found the scale to be very dependable, no more than 6% out of line. The maximum readable weight is about 5 Kg.
The book of referenced products is a treasure trove of information. When I discovered I was borderline high cholesterol and wanted to combat that naturally, this scale helps tremendously. Quickly pulling it out, measuring a new item that I'm not familiar with weight vs. visual size, is so easy, fun and painless. It's so thin that it's in with the cereal, ready to be taken out. The glass platform is great, the touches are very responsive (I'm a guy with bigger hands) and the convenience is wonderful. Buy it for a multi-use environment.
