(More customer reviews)I recently picked this up at Target. It's very accurate but there are some things about it that might make me decide to return it after a couple of days:
1. It measures Grams and pounds/ounces, which is great but there's a button on the underside of the thing that toggles between the two. The problem is that when you turn it off it defaults to the pounds/ounces setting. It's minor but annoying.
2. The outside of the box clearly says "10 year warranty". However, when you open the package and actually look at the instructions/warranty card it says it's covered under only a "one year limited warranty". What!? The long warranty was one of the reasons I decided to buy the thing. This is either deceptive or sloppy. Neither of which makes me feel good about my purchase.
I knocked off two stars for the above issues.
The good points are that it does what it says it does, it's accurate, thin/compact (but big enough to rest a dinner plate on while still being able to read the screen), and the glass top is easy to clean.
I'll give it a day or two and see how I feel about it.
UPDATE: May 2011
Well, I've had this scale for a few years and I still use it. I've gotten used to the issues I initially had with it. I still stand by my 3 star review, but I will say this: the product has stood up to moderate use over a long period.
