(More customer reviews)I highly recommend a kitchen scale for baking. No more inaccuracy when measuring flour. No more spooning flour into the measuring cup and leveling it off, just dump the flour in until the scale reads correctly, spooning flour out if you overfill. Using multiple type of flour? Then just zero the scale and start dumping the next type.
I thought about an electronic scale, but I decided I didn't want to deal with batteries. The scale is very simple to use, just turn the base to re-zero as you are measuring. The bowl is plenty big, but also removes so you can put a bread pan or some other container on it instead. I love that the bowl doubles as a lid, which makes the scale very easy to store.
The only minor issue with this scale is the accuracy, which I consider to be only good to +/- 20 grams. I don't see this as a big issue for baking, though. It certainly hasn't affected my recipes.
