We have used many different brands over the years and have been unhappy with most. We had one thermometer that was fast but was on it's last leg. We found it very frustrating that all the other thermometers in our kitchen were too slow and had too many buttons that you could accidentally press, i.e., centigrade/Faranheit, Hold, etc. I took a chance and ordered three of these based on reviews. I have to say that this is absolutely the best thermometer I have ever used. It is extremely fast (we were all amazed), uncomplicated (only an on button), easy to hold, easy to read, and has a thin tip that works well when probing thin meats. I will never buy another thermometer as long as these are available. I am so glad I found this thermometer. Life is better now!
